Power BI Age Pyramid
The ability to look at your data and then predict the likelihood of what is going to happen is incredibly useful in making business decisions.
This is one method that Power BI uses to show data changing over time. It’s using two custom visuals. One is an age pyramid which allows us to group ages and then show the age group as a % of the overall group and is sub divided by gender.
This could be used for any type of information that you have and group, such as product breakdown, market sectors, customer type.
The predicted ages are then used within a play visual which enables you to show the chance by age group, and gender over time. Quite a complex scenario, but visually represented clearly.
Most of the reports I work on are commercially sensitive, however, I find this initiative by a group of amazing data evangelists really help develop the visual aspects of Power BI but also give a chance to showcase what Power BI can do.
Keeping current and up-to-date is essential in this industry, and this is an excellent way to do this visually
Any questions, happy to help,
