Sometimes the date format doesn’t follow through from Power BI or allow you to change with a set date format using the Date formatting option. To get around this you can click on Custom fx and choose format from the Text options. You can then specify the formatting you want to use.
Every single item within Paginated Reports can be formatted. This can be a blessing but remember when you copy a table to use with a different dataset, if you have applied custom formatting using the data set fields, you have to not only replace the fields, you have to replace the formatting options.
There are many websites that can help find the specific code for your formatting needs. Whilst paginated reports from power bi is fairly new, particularly to those of us using Premium Per User, SSRS has been around for a long time. I search for SSRS to find most of my research needs. This is a useful site.
